Wedding invitation QR code: the best of paper and digital

Enlázate creates a free QR code for your invitation and an A6 card ready to print, in your colours and typography. Guests keep something on paper, and one scan takes them to the digital invitation for the details and the RSVP.

Free until you publish · no card · €49 one-time per wedding

What you get, at no cost

The QR code

It points to your invitation’s address and scans with any phone camera, no app needed.

A printable A6 card

A 105 × 148 mm card with “We’re getting married!”, your names, date and time, the QR code and the address written underneath.

In your design

The card uses the palette and fonts of the design you chose for the invitation, so everything matches.

Always up to date

If you change something on the invitation, the QR code still leads to the same place — nothing to reprint.

Why combine paper and a QR code

Plenty of families still love receiving something they can hold, and grandparents find a card on the fridge easier than a message lost in their phone. But printing a traditional invitation with every detail is expensive — and once it is printed, it can’t change.

A QR card solves both: the paper stays simple and pretty, while all the practical information — schedule, maps, accommodation, gifts and the online RSVP — lives on the digital invitation, which you can update whenever you like.

Ideas for using the QR code

Doing the sums? See how much wedding invitations really cost — printing only a simple card cuts the paper budget a lot.

  • Print the A6 card and hand it over in person, or post it to older relatives.
  • Slip the card in with a professionally printed invitation so nobody has to type the address.
  • Send it with a handwritten note to guests who live abroad.
  • Pair it with WhatsApp for everyone else: all roads lead to the same invitation.

Tips for printing it well

  • Open the card from the dashboard (“QR · print”) and use the Print button; you can also save it as a PDF from your browser to take to a print shop.
  • Choose a heavy, matt paper: QR codes scan better without glare.
  • Scan a test print with two or three different phones before printing the lot.
  • Publish the invitation before handing out cards, so the QR code already leads to the full page.

Frequently asked questions

Do the QR code and the card cost anything?

No, both are free. What you pay for is publishing the invitation (a one-off €49 per wedding), which is the page the QR code opens.

Do I need to reprint if I change the invitation?

No. The QR code points to the invitation’s address, not its content, so any change shows up when it is scanned and the cards stay as they are.

What if I buy a custom address after printing?

Printed cards keep working: the old address redirects to the new one. Any cards and QR codes you generate from then on use the custom address.

Does the QR code open a personal link for each guest?

No, it opens the invitation’s general address, the same for everyone. Personal links with the guest’s name pre-filled are sent from the guest list, for example on WhatsApp.

What language is the card in?

The invitation’s main language. Once inside, each guest can switch to whichever of your enabled languages they prefer.
