What columns a wedding guest list needs
A good wedding guest list isn’t just names: it’s the sheet you’ll use for the caterer, the seating plan and the reminders. That’s why the template comes with the columns people actually look at:
- Name and side or group (each family, friends, work) to keep the list balanced and seat people well.
- Email and phone, to send the invitation by email or over WhatsApp.
- Plus-ones: the number that really counts for the reception.
- Invitation sent and RSVP, so you know who still needs a nudge.
- Dietary needs and table, which the caterer will ask for at the end.
Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers
The “Download for Excel” button saves a UTF-8 CSV with a byte-order mark, so Excel shows accents and special characters correctly and every value lands in its own column. The standard CSV is the one Google Sheets and Numbers import most cleanly.

How to import the list into Enlázate
In your wedding’s dashboard, go to Guests → Import guests → Paste a list and paste one line per guest in the format Name, email, phone; if the invitation is in several languages, you can add the language at the end. Email and phone are optional; a name with a comma in it (“Green, Anna”) is kept whole. Duplicate names are skipped, and you can have up to 500 guests per wedding. For just a few guests you can also use “Fill in rows”.
The “Copy to import into Enlázate” button in the editor above produces exactly that format. You can also copy rows straight out of Excel or Google Sheets: each row’s name (first column), email and phone are picked up and the other columns are ignored. Plus-ones aren’t imported; how many each guest may bring is set afterwards in the list (per guest is a Premium feature).
Every imported guest gets a personal link with their name filled in, a WhatsApp share button and an RSVP tied to them. The guest list and the save-the-date email are free.
Frequently asked questions
Is the wedding guest list template free?
Yes. It downloads without signing up, and the editor runs in your browser without sending anything to a server.
Why does Excel put everything in one column?
That happens when the separator doesn’t match your Excel settings (Excel set up for many European languages expects semicolons). Open the file via Data → From Text/CSV and pick the comma as the delimiter.
Should a couple be one row or two?
The practical approach is one row per invitation (couple or family) with the rest counted as plus-ones. Total people adds both together, which is the number your caterer needs.
What format does the Enlázate import accept?
Text with one line per guest: a name, optionally followed by an email and a phone number separated by commas (and the language, if the invitation has several). Duplicate names are skipped and the maximum is 500 guests per wedding.
Does it cost anything to use the guest list in Enlázate?
No. Importing the list, the personal links and the save-the-date email are free. Publishing the invitation and collecting RSVPs is a single €49 payment per wedding.
